Pottery Classes

Our teachers come from a variety of ceramic backgrounds, offering different skill sets and techniques for new and experienced potters alike. Some people enjoy taking a class from several of our teachers to get different kinds of experience and knowledge working in clay! All our teachers will provide a strong foundation for beginners, and offer different kinds of advanced techniques for experienced potters. You can learn more about our different instructors here

Introduction to Wheel Throwing

Our six-week intro to wheel throwing class is designed for beginners who want to dive into the world of pottery and master the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Guided by our experienced instructors, you'll embark on a creative journey where you'll learn essential techniques, explore different forms, and unlock your artistic potential. Students with previous experience in wheel throwing are welcome.

Classes will be held for 2 hours once a week for six weeks, and include open studio time on Saturdays, allowing you ample time to practice and refine your techniques. We'll provide all the necessary tools and unlimited clay, so you can focus on your artistic journey without any worries. Classes are small with 10 or less in each class.

Introduction to Handbuilding Class

Come learn foundational hand building techniques and open up the creative possibilities in building with clay! Over 6 weeks our instructors will lead students through the skills needed to create clay forms working with pinch pots, soft slabs, hard slabs and coil work.

Classes will be held for 2 hours once a week for six weeks, and include open studio time on Saturdays, allowing you ample time to practice and refine your techniques. We'll provide all the necessary tools and unlimited clay, so you can focus on your artistic journey without any worries. Classes are small with 10 or less in each class. Students who have taken this class before will get to build on previous experience to work with more complex forms using the techniques taught previously.

10 week Wheel Throwing Class

Do you want a little more time to focus on developing your wheel throwing, trimming and glazing skills in a class? This 10 week class is designed for students to be able to have more classes in a session to have focused skillset building by being able to repeat the stages of ceramics within the same class session.

Classes will be held for 2 hours once a week for ten weeks, and include open studio time on Saturdays, allowing you ample time to practice and refine your techniques. We'll provide all the necessary tools and unlimited clay, so you can focus on your artistic journey without any worries. Classes are small with 10 or less in each class. This class is great for students who have taken an intro class and want to focus on refining and building up their skills.

“Try It Out” Class

Have you ever wanted to try wheel throwing? Or has it been years and you want to see if you’ve still got it? This class is a great way to get some experience in clay without a large time investment. Come by yourself, with a friend or with your partner and get your hands in clay!

Your class fee included two hours of instruction, use of equipment, unlimited clay, tools and you are able to keep one of your favorite pieces that we will trim, glaze and fire for you. Classes are small with 10 or less in each class. Classes fill up quickly so if you find a time that works in your schedule, we suggest reserving your spot sooner than later.
