Pottery Classes

Our teachers come from a variety of ceramic backgrounds, offering different skill sets and techniques for new and experienced potters alike. Some people enjoy taking a class from several of our teachers to get different kinds of experience and techniques in working in clay! All our teachers will provide a strong foundation for beginners, and offer different kinds of advanced techniques for experienced potters. You can learn more about our different instructors here

  • Try it Out: Wheel Throwing!

    Have you ever wanted to try wheel throwing? Or has it been years and you want to see if you’ve still got it? This class is a great way to get some experience in clay without a large time investment. Offered every Friday & Saturday night

  • Try it Out: Handbuilding!

    Have you ever wanted to try handbuilding with clay? Would you like a directed approach to making a specific project? This class is a great way to get some experience in clay without a large time investment. Offered on Friday or Saturday Nights

  • 6 Week Class: Wheel Throwing!

    Our 6-week intro to wheel throwing class is designed for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Guided by our experienced instructors, you'll learn the essential techniques and see the entire process through. Students with previous experience in wheel throwing are welcome.

  • 6 Week Class: Handbuilding!

    Our 6-week intro to handbuilding class is designed for beginners who want to explore the world of pottery and learn the fundamentals of handbuilding. Guided by our experienced instructors, you'll learn essential techniques to create unique forms. Students with previous experience with handbuilding are welcome.

  • 10 Week Class: Wheel Throwing!

    Do you want a little more time to focus on developing your wheel throwing, trimming and glazing skills in a class? This 10 week class is designed for students to be able to have more classes in a session to have focused skillset building by being able to repeat the stages of ceramics within the same class session.

  • 10 Week Class: Handbuilding!

    Our 10-week handbuilding class is designed for students who want open ended projects to work on for multiple weeks with an instructor there to guide in use of techniques and ask questions. Students are welcome to bring in their own ideas for what they wish to make and the instructor will support them in reaching their own personal goals.

  • Raku Workshops!

    This class is great for students who have already taken a pottery class to do a Raku firing!
    The workshop includes a single day of throwing with an instructor to answer questions and guide you on sucessful Raku forms. You will then be able to trim your work during our open studio time that Saturday, then it will be bisqued and ready for you to glaze the following Friday, for the firing day on Saturday. You will have to participate on all days.

  • Kids Classes

    Periodically we offer some classes for kids! Introducing our first summer kids camp! This camp will run June 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th & July 2nd from 10am to Noon each day! That is 4 days of playing in clay with an instructor to help guide kids in different techniques and projects, and a 5th day for glazing all their finished projects! Kids projects can be picked up 2 weeks after the class has finished.
